Jialin Hong
Producer/ Curator / Filmmaker
I am a London-based producer, curator, and filmmaker working through a decolonised lens to explore environmental storytelling, queerness, diaspora and migration, and spirituality. Through multidisciplinary events—including exhibitions, workshops, immersive installations, screenings, and audiovisual performances—I curate multi-sensory dialogues, using technological storytelling to amplify marginalised voices, challenge dominant narratives, and encourage collective healing, sustainable reflection, and long-term cultural impact.
My experience includes producing for D-Fuse, managing projects for ESEA Music, programming films for Fringe! Fest, assisting at Queer East Festival, and working as an assistant to artist April Lin. During my time at D-Fuse, I successfully secured funding from Innovate UK for the Cross-Cultural AI project and collaborated closely with funders such as the British Council.
I also create digital content for arts organisations and music labels, including Screen South, 88rising, ESEA Music, and Gramophone Media.
I hold an MPhil with Distinction in Film and Screen Studies from the University of Cambridge and dual bachelor’s degrees: a BA (Hons) in International Relations and a BS (Hons) in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin.
